IT Tech Support Specialist

Job Details
Performs maintenance, testing, repairs and installation of new or upgraded PCs, laptops, printers, and peripheral devices along with software application installation and troubleshooting as required. Answers support questions and phone calls from users in a prompt, courteous and efficient manner and provides basic training to users in proper system and application usage. Work with other members of the IT Department to ensure proper prioritization of maintenance, installation and support projects. Emphasize a high standard of excellence in all work endeavors and ensures accuracy and thoroughness of work. Requires effective oral and written communication skills to communicate with customers with varying levels of comprehension and to instruct hospital and clinic personnel. Ability to communicate with administrators, governmental agencies and external customers. Ability to analyze and problem-solve when conversing with department customers. Requires a high level of accuracy, ability to understand instructions, reason and make judgment calls. Must document and instruct customers and personnel appropriately. May require occasional weekend work for maintenance and project completion.
Minimum of 3-5 years of IT support experience required. Associate's Degree in an Information Technology field highly preferred.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
